The case fatality rate for Covid-19 has been varying between 1 and 4 % as of 19 March 2020, whereas the CFR for the Influenza A virus in typical pandemics lies below 0,1%. However, it is important to note that the CFR  depends strongly on the resources of local health systems and the Covid-19 growth rate.
