What is the mortality of Covid-19 infection
The mortality for all cases is 2-3%, 80% of cases are considered not severe, 15% severe but not critical and 5% are critical. The mortality for severe but not critical is 8%, for critical is 42-62% (Guan et al NEJM 2020 and Yang et al Lancet Resp 2020). However be aware that the mortality varies from country to country also depending on the healthcare setting and the population which is affected.
