Which COVID-19 treatents are tested in the SOLIDARITY Study?
The SOLIDARITY study was initated and conducted by the WHO. It tests 1) the new antivirale drug Remdesivir, which was developed for the treatment against Ebola 2) Lopinavir and Ritonavir, which are antiretroviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV 3) Lopinavir und Ritonavir in combination with the Immunsystemregulator Interferon-β, 4) Malariadrugs Chloroquin und Hydrochloroquin. These drugs are compared to supportive treatment extended by oxygen and respirator therapy if needed.
